2023 Wolfer Sonnenlay Riesling Kabinett »Blum«

Cabinet. And nothing else.

Kabinett always works. Especially in a year like 2023, and from the oldest vines in my winery. Using the same material from the 2022 "Quell," it was now time to establish myself in the extremely drinkable "Mosel-Kabi" segment.

The earth gave us slate, salts and minerals.

The sun gave us fructose and sweetness.

The cold nights kept the acidity.

We from the Moselle call it Kabi.

Like nowhere else in the world, our favorite grape variety, Riesling, is able to combine this exciting blend in one glass. A truly exciting, racy Kabinett.

Initially a delicate sponti, it then develops fragrant notes of peach, grapefruit, and pineapple. In the mouth, 57 grams of residual sugar initially entice with a fruity, seductive tang, but is then balanced by a crystalline, focused acidity, leaving a mouthwatering, stimulating the next experience.
